Structural Steel Detailing Partner

Drawings that fabricate clean the first time.

Meridian is a US-based detailing partner for fabricators who are tired of chasing offshore revisions. Predictable fixed-fee pricing, AISC-compliant shop and erection drawings, and Tekla models built to cut your RFIs — not pad them.

Why we exist

What we're building, and how we build it better

Detailing rarely fails on the big decisions — it fails on the small ones nobody was watching: a markup misread, a revision that sat in a queue, a redline that never made it into the model. Here's what we're doing differently — and what it means for your project.

Vision
To be the most trusted partner in steel detailing — driven by transparent communication, technical excellence, and timely delivery, with the agility to embrace every change.
Mission
Meridian earns trust through transparency at every stage of the project — combining deep technical expertise with timely delivery and thorough, fabrication-ready detailing, and the agility to absorb changes without breaking stride. One point of contact owns every drawing, every revision, and every deadline.
T
Transparent
You always know where your project stands.
Every revision request acknowledged the same business day. Maintained RFI logs, current as-builts, and every drawing traceable to its IFC revision. If something slips on the design side, you hear it from us first.
T
Technical
We read engineering intent, not just markups.
SDS/2-native detailing by senior teams working to AISC standards. Every markup is reviewed for conflicts before production — if a revision creates a problem elsewhere, we raise the RFI instead of silently redrawing.
T
Timely
Your schedule is our schedule.
Minor revisions turned around in hours, not days in a queue. Time zones work in your favor — a fix requested at the end of your day is often on your desk the next morning.
A
Agile
Your changes are never someone else's backlog.
Mid-project changes are absorbed, not resented — capacity flexes with your workload, and scope adjustments are handled without friction. When the design evolves, we re-baseline and keep moving.
The bottom line

What a better detailer is actually worth

Detailing is a small line item that controls a huge one. Clean drawings mean less shop rework, fewer field corrections, and an erection crew that isn't standing around. Here's where Meridian moves the numbers.

−30%
Fewer RFIs per package
Connections coordinated with your EOR up front and checked against a real QC list — so questions get answered in the model, not in the shop.
0 hr
Time-zone lag
Your single point of contact works US hours and picks up the phone. A Friday revision request gets a Friday answer — not a Monday-morning surprise.
1 fee
Fixed, scoped pricing
A written fixed-fee proposal before we start. No hourly creep, no surprise change orders for revisions that were in scope to begin with.
Scope of work

Everything from the model to the field

Full-package detailing or overflow support that drops into your existing standards, title blocks, and revision protocols.

The honest comparison

Offshore economics ≠ offshore risk

The problem was never offshore production — it's offshore production with no one on the US side owning the outcome. Here's how a managed model actually pencils out against the unmanaged version.

Unmanaged offshore
RFI & revision response
Same business day, your time zone
12–24 hr lag, overnight cycles
Connection / EOR coordination
Direct, proactive with your EOR
Often passed back to you
Pricing model

Hourly — revisions add up
Shop-floor rework risk
Low — QC'd to fabrication intent
Variable — drafting, not fabricating

How it runs

A workflow built to stay on schedule

STEP 01
Brief & fixed quote
Send drawings and your schedule. We confirm scope and formats and return a fixed-fee proposal within one business day.
STEP 02
Model & produce
We build the Tekla model and produce shop and erection drawings to your standards, with milestone check sets along the way.
STEP 03
QC & deliver
Every set passes our internal QC checklist for dimensions, connections, and completeness before it reaches you.
STEP 04
Revise to AFC
We manage revision cycles with your EOR and GC, keeping a clean log until approved-for-construction status.
We're not asking you to take our word for it. Send us one package, judge the QC and the communication yourself, and decide from there whether we've earned the next one.

Good questions

Before you send the first job

Yes. Onboarding starts with your standards, title blocks, layer conventions, and revision protocols. The deliverables look like they came from your own office — which matters when your clients review them.

Your proposal includes a defined number of revision rounds for in-scope changes. You won't get a change-order email because the EOR red-lined a connection that was always part of the package. Genuine scope additions are quoted transparently before any work begins.

Most packages land in 5–10 business days depending on tonnage and complexity. Fast-track work is scheduled deliberately rather than promised blindly — we'd rather commit to a date and hit it than over-promise and slip.

Both. Many fabricators start with overflow work during a backlog crunch and move to full packages once they trust the QC. There's no minimum relationship — send one job and see how it goes.

A single US-based point of contact. One person who knows your job, picks up the phone, and is accountable for the schedule — not a rotating queue.

Start a job

Send us one package. Judge us on the QC.

Tell us about your project and we'll return a scoped, fixed-fee proposal within one business day. All project information is kept strictly confidential.

Prefer to talk it through first? Reach us directly — a US-based single point of contact, not a queue.
